Kit Haddow’s Retirement Announcement to Patients

Dear Patients and Friends,

It is time to retire. I am 70 years old and have practiced dentistry for 43 years. This has been the perfect profession for me. Getting to work directly with people, providing a worthwhile service and working with kiddos in a family, that, years later, I am now working on their kids have been a joy. I still look forward to going to work every day, but one should hope to step down before one has to. Grand Junction is the best place to live and we intend to stay here. This is our home!

We have planned ahead. I am turning the practice over to Dr. Judd Chamberlain who will phase in as I fade out. You will be in good hands and I hope you will continue your care at our practice.

Dr. Judd Chamberlain graduated with a Bachelors in Physiology in 2005 from the University of Wyoming with honors. He graduated from Dental School from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009, also with honors. He completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the VA in San Antonio.

Judd practiced dentistry in Laramie, Wyoming, in a private clinic while his wife finished her education in law. There, he was the Team Dentist for the University of Wyoming’s Athletic Department. He has spent the majority of his career in public health, including Program Site Director for New York University’s Advanced Dental Residency program, Clinic Supervisor for dental students from Arizona and Denver, the Veterans Administration and a combined six years at Mesa County’s own Marillac Clinic. Most recently, Judd has been the Associate Dental Director at Marillac Clinic.

Judd is married to Kelianne, has two daughters, ages 12 and 14. Together they spend multiple days camping, river trips in and around Colorado. Judd enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, motorcycling, fishing, and dirt biking. I have had several conversations with Judd and his philosophy of how dentistry ought to be done is similar to mine. He will be an excellent fit. Obviously, he is well qualified.

I will continue to work with Dr. Chamberlain as long as it takes to do a smooth transition. Grete will remain as Office Manager and will continue to meet your needs.

I plan to continue to chase wild turkeys, silver salmon, and Montana sapphires. It has been quite a career ranging from treating people in severe pain to strong willed children.

It has been an honor to serve you,

Kit W. Haddow
